Named after Charles Grey, British Prime Minister (1830-1834) who supposedly received the tea as a gift, Earl Grey tea is a black tea flavored with oil from the peel of the bergamot orange (Citrus bergamia) which gives this popular tea its strong and distinctive aroma. It has long been a favorite in my house, as it is our go to for iced tea. Since I am the only one in my house that drinks unsweetened tea (Yes, I know. What kind of Southerner am I?) I love the convenience of brewing up one glass/cup at a time. I get to enjoy this delicious amber tea anytime I want with the ease that single serve cups offers and the great flavor of premium tea that I’ve come to expect from Stash. I often drink a cup of tea in the afternoon and have tried many of the teas offered by Stash but this Earl Grey is the absolute best for making iced tea, sweet or unsweetened. If you are looking for a flavorful tea with a light aroma and smooth taste, then this is the tea I would recommend to you.
How do you drink your tea?
I’m curious as to the most popular way, leave me a comment.

I’ve served Earl Grey and English Breakfast Tea at the twice a year Victorian Tea. They are both full-bodied teas and if there are kids present, more sugar cubes are used to sweeten the tea. I drink my teas without sugar and use honey if coming down with a cold.

I like the Stash Earl Grey better than that of other brands. This tea is stronger and fuller than others. And I appreciate that Stash takes the time to individually wrap each teabag. And no corny “feel good” messages on the tags. Just a rich, robust drink for my breakfast. I have also found that Earl Grey is the best tea for my sensitive stomach. More calming than plain tea.

I love Earl Grey tea, one of my favorite herbal teas I have tried yet.

I love Earl Grey tea, I actually love lots of teas. In the warmer months, I like to drink it iced. I love chai tea and I like to experiment with different flavors. That’s why I love these pod teas and coffees. It lets you try new teas especially if you get a variety pack.

Earl Grey is my favorite, too! I’m trying to stay away from sugar so I’m drinking it without sugar and it’s still delicious! I serve it to family and friends and they always ask for Earl Grey.
