With so many great products it was hard deciding which to use first. However, after looking at each one and formulating in my head what we could make with each I pulled out a few and set to work. Having previously used liquid stevia to make a sugar-free simple syrup for my Bubble Tea Recipe I wondered how using the different flavored syrups could change up the drink. Making small batches of simple syrup with the Ginger, Vanilla, and Vanilla Ginger Syrups we put the tapioca pearls into each one and proceeded to put the recipe together.
After experimenting with the syrups for a while I then turned my attention to the two prebiotic products that had caught our eye during the unboxing. Both the Organic Green Banana Flour and Sweet Health Tagatose are prebiotics, which helps to multiply the good bacteria in the digestive tract thus improving the overall health of the digestive system. Having several relatives with Type II diabetes, Tagatose as an alternative to sugar with its low glycemic index, made it especially appealing to us. Each teaspoon of Tagatose is equal to 1 teaspoon of sugar but unlike sugar with 16 calories and 5 carbohydrates, Tagatose only contains 6 calories and 4 carbohydrates. These will both be a staple in our smoothies from now on.
With the holidays fast approaching we wanted to find a creative way to use the two NEW FALL Syrups, Pumpkin Spice and Chai Spice. For this, we searched for some popular recipes that could be tweaked. The recipes using pumpkin spice were abundant and we grabbed a few to make. One idea that came to Marcus while searching was to use the Pumpkin Spice Syrup to sweeten our oatmeal. After breakfast the next morning I had to admit that Marcus came up with a brilliant idea. He also suggested that I use the Chai Spice Syrup in my Easy Baked Apples Recipe. Two great ideas in one day from this man! When our shopping list was done, we went to the store to gather the few ingredients that we would need. Most of them we already had since simplicity is our motto when it comes to choosing recipes to make.
In the spirit of keeping it simple, the Cocoa Syrup will be used for an ice cream topping, making chocolate milk, and for sweetening coffee when in the mood for a chocolaty iced coffee. Preferring the Monk Fruit Powder to the Liquid Monk Fruit Sugar Substitute we decided to share the bottle of liquid with our aunt. She is already a huge fan of the Mint Cocoa Syrup, Liquid NuStevia, and Cherry Vanilla that we shared with her previously so we were sure that she would appreciate it.
With so many wonderful new sweeteners to try it was hard to decide which was our favorite of them but we both were in agreement that our favorite two were the individual packets and the tub of MoreFiber Stevia Baking Blend since it is perfect for baking. Does it get any better than low-calorie, fat-free, sugar-free, Vegan and GMO-Free sugar substitute with 3 grams of fiber in each serving? I think not! Of course, the packets of NuStevia NoCarbs Blend are in the little miniature creamer ready for Marcus’ morning coffee. He loves the convenience of using them.
We would highly recommend NuNaturals products to anyone looking to incorporate an all-natural, great tasting sugar substitute into their diet. We’ve made the switch and so have many of our friends and family.

This review was really useful for me, thank you so much! I remember reading at a handful of other food blogs about baking with banana flour, but I didn’t know that it (and Sweet Health Tagatose) are prebiotics! That’s a plus. I appreciated hearing about the performance of the MoreFiber Stevia Baking Blend, as well as the creative ideas for using the various flavored syrups!
