Kitchen Sink Strainers Save $$$$
Designed to keep solid material out of your plumbing pipes these sink strainers keep chunks of food, small utensils, or other unwanted materials from finding their way into your pipes. Ours has saved more than one piece of jewelry from ending up in the drain. Without sink strainers covering the drains, we would have found ourselves tearing the pipes apart looking for items many times. The problem that we had was that our strainers have always been made out of plastic or a plastic and rubberized combination. Both of which are perfect breeding grounds for mildew, bacteria, and germs. None of which do we want in our sink!
Strainers Can Save The Day
Recently, two new strainers arrived in the mail from Dynabit. The stainless steel construction makes them tough and easy to clean. I like that we can smack them on the side of the trash can, when removing the ick that they stop from going down our drain, with no worries. Without a strainer, that stuff would have been in our pipes. I can tell you it wasn’t cheap nor any fun when we have had to clean them out in the past. After, doing it we started using strainers in our sinks. After using the strainers for several weeks we are happy that there is no rust, bending, or discoloration on either of the strainers.
Like us, most people go about their daily routine without ever thinking about what they are putting into their kitchen pipes. However, what you put into your sink can easily turn into a major plumbing blockage and clearing the built-up sludge can be costly. Installing sink strainers like these could save you a lot of money on future repairs.

I like the thought of using stainless steel strainers. I have some but they are old and somewhat gunky. Yuk! I’m going to buy new ones ASAP!!!
