Based on the beloved children’s book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by Roald Dahl, and the iconic musical family film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, this fun, new adaptation adds Tom and Jerry’s entertaining antics to the classic story of young Charlie Bucket’s unforgettable visit to Willy Wonka’s marvelous chocolate factory. Tom and Jerry meet our beloved Charlie Bucket, a young boy who finds one of five golden tickets, hidden inside the wrappers of Wonka chocolate bars. Just like in the Willy Wonka we all remember the lucky few who find a golden ticket are invited to visit Willy Wonka’s world-famous chocolate factory and win a lifetime supply of chocolate.
However, now when Charlie sets out to meet Willy Wonka along with the four other kids who also find golden tickets – Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, and Mike Teevee, Tom and Jerry secretly accompany him – helping Charlie steer clear of trouble and Arthur Slugworth. Of course, there’s no shortage of antics, music, candy, chocolate, fun, nor temptation for the golden ticket winners. Now, Tom and Jerry have been added into the mix of this colorfully animated movie. Oh, how I wished for an everlasting gobstopper, Willy Wonka’s most closely guarded secret when I was a kid.
I’ve seen the original movie Willa Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, so this version with Tom & Jerry looks like a blast and is very colorful.
I enjoyed Willy Wonk and Tom and Jerry. This is the best of both worlds!
