“Warner Bros Home Entertainment is excited to share the latest addition to the Sesame Street collection, Sesame Street: The Cookie Thief,” said Jeff Brown, WBHE Executive Vice President and GM of Non-Theatrical Franchise Marketing. “Cookie Monster continues to help preschoolers develop essential skills in creativity and imaginative play all while keeping children laughing and having fun.”
Now in its 45th season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television and the number one top-of-mind preschool show with moms. Sesame Street also has the highest “co-viewing” experience – meaning adults watching with kids – of any preschool show. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.
I loved all the fun and excitement that this DVD offered as it taught my grandchildren about art appreciation, critical thinking, and self-control. My grandson who is ADHD could really relate to Cookie Monster’s struggle with the urge to eat all the cookie art. This is sure to become a classic that generations of children are sure to love for years.
