Make This Allergy Season A Happy One

Depending on how you look at it, Spring brings out the best or the worst in allergens!
Thankfully, the great folks at all® have you covered.

All® free clear laundry detergent is formulated to remove 99% of the top everyday and seasonal allergens, including the #1 spring allergen – tree and grass pollen.* My parents have been using all® free clear liquid laundry detergent since it came out and since I often do laundry when I visit them I have had the pleasure of using it, too. Recently, I received a free bottle and wanted to give you some allergy-fighting tips that along with using all® free clear can help you combat spring allergy season.

Allergy Season Survival Tips

Avoid going outdoors when the pollen count is very high.

  1. Hot, dry, windy days are peak allergy times.
  2. Pollen counts are highest in the morning, so schedule outdoor events later in the day.
  3. Get an allergy-free family member or friend to mow the lawn.
  4. Consider exercising indoors on very high-pollen days.

If you’re not a fan of the way many allergy medications make you feel give saltwater a try.

  1. Try a saline nasal rinse (either with a neti pot or a spray), which helps clear allergens like pollen from your nasal membranes, minimizing symptoms.
  2. Gargling with salt water can soothe a sore or scratchy throat. Do this once or twice a day throughout allergy season to ease congestion.

What to do about your eyes.

  1. Get relief with cool eye compresses. They may improve appearance and reduce unwanted eye allergy symptoms.
  2. Wear big sunglasses to block pollen entry into your eyes and eyelids, especially on windy days.
  3. Wash your eyelids gently when you wash your face each morning.

Keep allergens out of your hair.

  1. Wear a wide-brimmed hat to prevent pollens from landing on top of your head.
  2. Don’t use hair gel and similar hair-care products that can act as “pollen magnets” during the height of allergy season.

Don’t drag allergens throughout your home.

  1. Take a shower to remove pollen and mold from your skin and hair.
  2. Take off the clothes you wore outside and place them in the washing machine right away.
  3. Kick off your shoes at the front door.
  4. Don’t hang sheets and clothes on the line to dry in the fresh spring air.

Fight the allergens that do make it into your home.

  1. Use a vacuum with double-bagging or HEPA filter.
  2. If cleaning stirs up your allergies, wear an allergy mask.
  3. Reduce the amount of carpeting and drapes in your home. Consider tile and hardwood.
  4. Roll up your blinds and shades.

Consider planting an allergy-friendly garden.

  1. Plant Gladiolus, Periwinkle, Begonia, Bougainvillea, Iris, and Orchid. These plants won’t aggravate your allergies.
  2. Avoid Daisies, Chrysanthemum, Amaranthus, Dahlia, Sunflower, Black-eyed Susan, Zinnia, Privet, and Lilac. These flowers will drive up your allergy symptoms, especially if you really inhale their aroma up close.

Allergy Season Survival Tips

With several years of record-breaking levels of seasonal pollens, it is essential to have an allergy survival plan in place. Do you have a survival plan? Have you got a great tip that I didn’t list? Please join our all® Free & Clear Make This Allergy Season A Happy One Discussion and share with your fellow allergy sufferers!

*Dog and cat dander, dust mite matter, ragweed pollen, grass/tree pollen. all® free clear is not intended to treat or prevent allergies.

Avamys and Prevention of Rhinitis

November 12, 2015 By Paula Leave a Comment

CHECK IT OUT! Avamys and prevention of rhinitis DON'T MISS THIS GREAT INFORMATION
Allergic rhinitis is one of the most common allergic manifestations nowadays. This disturbance of the eyes and nose is caused by various allergens present in our midst. Nowadays, this is something that can easily be treated when you buy Avamys online. However, there is still concern about the increased number of people suffering from this issue.
Any allergy that affects the body is the direct product of our environment as well as the sensitivity of mucous membrane. According to research performed by You! Drugstore, there has been a steady increase in the number of allergic and respiratory issues, especially in the last few decades. As it turns out, change of living habits, more exposure to troublesome substances as well as overprotective parents, are the main reasons for the development of this condition. Given that the population of the world is slowly moving from villages to cities, we are constantly under pressure by different problematic substances. When it comes to allergies, the more matters affect our body, the greater the chance to be affected by some of them. But, this is not the only thing. Genetically, we are less prepared to fight these substances. A couple of decades ago, living conditions were on a very low level. As a result, the human body could adapt to various forms of microbes, agents and everything else in our midst. Lately, due to the high standard of hygiene, an organism is no longer resilient. Furthermore, parents protect their children too much which leads to further sensitivity.
Allergic rhinitis affects the body as soon as allergen touches our mucous membrane. Some people have very thin tissue which makes it quickly irritated. Entire nasal passageways become swollen, inflamed and additional mucous is produced. Due to this, the patient will experience numerous issues such as coughing, runny and stuffy nose, wheezing as well as other respiratory issues. To make matters even worse, even the eyes are affected, becoming watery.
Respiratory allergies are caused by various allergens in our midst. The most common are animal hair, dust, plant pollen, spores, etc. According to medical experts, treatment is based on avoiding everything that causes a negative reaction. But, as it is very hard to do this, most people are forced to take medication. We can easily determine what irritates us by performing necessary tests. In some cases, the patient may be suffering from more than one allergen. Anyway, the therapy remains the same. Also, have in mind that rhinitis may be seasonal. For example, during blooming season, we may have severe problems. Otherwise, a patient can be perfectly healthy.
Most medical experts will agree that Avamys nasal spray is one of the best solutions for allergic rhinitis. Medicine can be used for both seasonal and year-round allergies. It can eliminate most negative symptoms such as a stuffy and runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Have in mind that the drug should be used in advance, before allergic reaction. Because of that, it cannot help you during an allergic episode. Avamys nasal spray takes from 8 to 24 hours to start working and its full effect can be seen after a few days.
