A good immersion blender—also known as a hand blender or stick blender—can complement a well-equipped kitchen, offering a convenient alternative to dragging out a big, heavy mixer. As you know food preparation can sometimes be a hassle when you have to pull out several pieces of cooking equipment just to fix a quick meal. Sometimes when we are busy or tired this just isn’t an option. That’s where immersion blenders come in. These handy little appliances put the power of a blender into the palm of your hand and allow you to perform tasks quickly and with minimal effort.

While all hand blenders can perform the basic tasks of whipping, blending, and emulsifying reasonably well, not all are capable of creating smooth soups and thick smoothies. A great emulsifying blender has sharp blades and can pulverize frozen fruit. It will not splatter when mixing soup and is comfortable to hold for at least 5 minutes. Is powerful and provides enough movement to mix thoroughly and will process the herbs without bruising them. So with those tasks in mind, we put this set to the test.

The top-performing immersion blender models excel at all of the tasks cost over $200 and if you’re blending on a budget like me, that’s not possible. Without sacrificing power this set from Tenergy does these tasks well and also does much more. The stick is light, compact, and easy to use. With its variable speed 200-watt motor, you still have the power when you need it. We found that it is a great tool for quick, simple tasks like mixing our Affogato Milkshakes or making sauces. This blender set can do many of the tasks that our handheld mixer can do with its whisk attachment, the chopping capabilities of our Ninja (Think one bowl clean up for Salsa making.). It has the fruit and yogurt smoothie making ability of our Bullet and don’t forget it also can do the tasks of our old wand blender. When you don’t have to get out multiple machines to fix a meal cooking is so much more pleasurable. Note these types of stick blenders cannot handle the taste of crushing ice so we did not use frozen coffee cubes or ice in our smoothies.

Since the attachments are not made out of heavy metal like our other appliances this unit is much lighter and therefore easier to hold for longer periods of time. A nice feature that Marc and I both appreciate about this set is that the lids for the chopping bowl and measuring cup secure to their bottom to provide grip. Keeping them from moving while mixing, blending, chopping, etc. While we will not be getting rid of our heavy duty appliances this Tenergy Immersion Blender Mixer Set will be kept handy to make cooking more convenient and enjoyable.
