Save the date Marcus & Paula Wedding Announcement Made Free With Adobe Spark

How To Create FREE Wedding Invitations With Adobe Spark

Yes, it’s true! You can create amazing wedding invitations for FREE!

After living together for more than ten years, Marcus and I just became officially engaged a few months ago. I know, it’s about time! We will be doing a simple ceremony with a small group of our family and friends in attendance. Even though we are a mature bride and groom, this is still a big day for both of us and we want to create an enjoyable experience for everyone. Now that we’ve set the date, we need to plan a wedding. When we began making our budget it became apparent that we needed to find some creative ways to save money without sacrificing what we wanted.

We both want an outdoor event but also know that we will need to have plans for those who need accommodations due to mobility or health. As you know the extreme weather that we experience here in the South makes an outdoor wedding in August unbearable for most sane people. However, a ceremony at the state park in the spring when the flowers are blooming and the temperatures are mild would not only be comfortable for everyone, it would also save us money on decorating. Mother Nature will provide most of the flowers.

We all know that no southern gathering is complete without food. And, we wouldn’t want anyone saying that we didn’t throw a proper southern party. Good thing we have some experience in this area. In addition to catering my parent’s 50th-anniversary celebration, we have catered two of our children’s weddings and many large family events over the years.

So we will be preparing the food and drinks for our big day, also. Marcus and I both love pulled pork and the fixins’ that go with it. I’m feeling a country bbq theme starting to take form. With a date, a place, and a general idea of what we want our day to be like it’s time to put it in writing. Invitations!

After food and decorations, one substantial cost is often invitations. They are more than telling your guests exactly where and when the wedding will be held. Just like when you meet someone for the first time, the invitation is the first impression of the wedding to come. And we all know, you don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression. Your invitations will set the mood for the wedding so it’s important that. Adobe Spark is a design app that you can use with your smart devices or web browser. They have some beautiful wedding invitation templates for you to choose from. With free wedding invitation templates from Adobe Spark, you’ll assemble graphics, text, and typography like an expert.  In no time, you’ll be designing your own custom wedding invitations with personality.

I had fun trying different styles, fonts, images and really appreciated that I could see the results of my changes immediately. Adobe Spark was new to me and with a little bit of practice, I was able to learn how to make our invitations reflect our personalities.

What do you think of our wedding invitation and the announcement that I made using Adobe Spark? We both love that it looks professional. The invitation isn’t exactly as I had envisioned it would be. I created our invitation and announcement using images, graphics, and fonts that were offered for FREE on their site.

Just 1 MONTH until the Solar Eclipse!!!! Have You Got Your Viewing Glasses?

A total solar eclipse is coming to a sky near you!

On August 21, 2017, America will fall under the path of a total solar eclipse and if you are like me you are getting excited as the date approaches. The first point of contact will be at Lincoln Beach, Ore., at 9:05 a.m. PDT. Totality begins there at 10:16 a.m. PDT. Over the next hour and a half, it will cross through 12 states. The total eclipse will end near Charleston, S.C., at 2:48 p.m. EDT. From there, the lunar shadow finally leaves the U.S. at 4:09 p.m. EDT. At any given location, the total eclipse will last for about 2 or 3 minutes. So why all the fuss? It’s cool. It’s spectacular. It goes dark. You can see stars in the middle of the day. It’s exciting!

In addition, to all the celebrations being held in the backyards across the country, a lot of neighborhoods, communities, and venues in the path are going to be having star parties. Even our small one stop light town has something planned. It will be here before you know it, don’t be left in the dark without the proper eyewear to enjoy it. As this is an activity that is better when it is shared, Magsbud is offering 12 pairs solar eclipse glasses for one low price so you can pass them out to your friends and your family. Experience this amazing spectacle along with millions of Americans as they look up at the sun with their special glasses on right along with you!

When our order arrived we opened it up to check out the 12 pair of paper glasses (2 each of the six designs) that we received. These eclipse glasses are tested to make sure they will block the harmful ultra-violet and infrared totally as well as the 99.99% intense visible light, which makes the sun looks like an orange ball of gentle light. Allowing us to safely watch the partial phases of the eclipse.

  • HIGH-QUALITY OPTIC THAT YOU CAN TRUST — All their solar eclipse glasses are scientifically tested and certified with CE and ISO to make sure it is totally safe for eyes to view the sun directly. They are made of Black Polymer material and its optical density has arrived at 5, which is perfect for sun viewing and it is comfortable even for the light sensitivity.
  • ONE SIZE FITS ALL— This solar eclipse glasses will fit both children and adults very well since the frame is made of cardboard that can be easily bent and adjusted. You can also view the solar eclipse with your prescription glasses on.

These are the second set of viewing glasses that we have received and just like the first set when I put them on and looked directly at a light in the house I saw nothing and I mean NOTHING! Although the cardstock is not quite as thick as the other set we have, I am surprised that at cost of less than a dollar per pair how well they are made and love all the neat graphics that are printed on them. We’ve got our LED Light-Up Foam Sticks, viewing glasses, and a friend with a telescope. Come on Total Eclipse 2017 we’re READY!!!!

As the date approaches these glasses are getting more popular and the demand is going to be tough to keep up with! Sales are increasing day by day, please get your own glasses for the eclipse before they are gone and you miss the first total solar eclipse in 99 years whose path of totality crosses the continental United States from the west coast to the east coast. It is also the first total solar eclipse ever that goes over only U.S. land and no other country.

Solar Eclipse Coming August 21, 2017 – Are You Ready?

As of today, the total solar eclipse is only two months away!

The Eclipse Phenomena will take place on Monday, August 21, 2017, when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. In addition to it being an awe-inspiring event for us amateur stargazers, it will provide a rare opportunity for NASA and other sky watchers to collect data only available during eclipses. This will be the first total solar eclipse that passes through the USA in over 38 years, and the next won’t be until 2024 then 2045! The path of totality for 2017 is about 70 miles wide and stretches from Oregon to South Carolina. Also,  passing through Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina as it crosses the United States. You can use NASA’s interactive map to zoom in on the path and find out the exact locations from which it will be visible. (You can view it HERE.)

We are almost perfectly centered on its path as it crosses South Carolina and I am already excited to see day turn to night. To safely watch as the disk of the moon appears to completely cover the disk of the sun and see the sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona, as it becomes visible. I found an excellent article from the American Astronomical Society the describes what to expect from a solar eclipse. No matter where you are watching from you will need a quality pair of glasses to safely watch as the disk of the moon appears to completely cover the disk of the sun and see the sun’s outer atmosphere, the corona, as it becomes visible. We got our ISO & CE Certified Safe Solar Eclipse Shades from Great Eclipse!

Their shades are:

  • SAFETY CERTIFIED – Their Solar Eclipse Glasses are ISO & CE Certified to guarantee safety for you eyes when viewing UV rays for extended periods of time
  • EFFECTIVE VIEWING – The size they have chosen allows for use with adults, kids, and everywhere in between. They have an optical density 5, and the film has a black undercoating for maximum protection and stunning orange and yellow colors while viewing the sun
  • COME IN A 5 or 10 PACK – To cut cost, save shipping time, and share your solar eclipse glasses with your friends and family!

The Great Eclipse Solar Eclipse Glasses are made to have a great view of the Great American Eclipse at a value price. We haven’t had a chance to view this historical event yet but feel confident in the UV 400 protection offered with these shades. When I put them on and looked at a light in the house I saw nothing and I mean NOTHING! I think the heavyweight 140lb cardstock paper that they are constructed from is a great idea, making these glasses affordable for so many people. We’re ready and you should be, too!

You can get these solar eclipse shades on AMAZON.
