A few weeks ago we received this Fundo QS90 Fitness and Activity Tracker from Sundray. The first thing we noticed is that slimline band has an attractive sporty look. It comes in several color options. We choose black when we ordered ours. After charging, we set out to explore all the units impressive functions that this product offers. The health functions – heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation along with the different sports modes are some of our favorites. We both really appreciate the vibration that alerts you when a diagnostic is complete. Here’s the frustrating part, we could not pair this option loaded wristband with any of our Bluetooth devices. We both exhausted every avenue that we could think of or find on Youtube to successfully pair it.
I decided this device was to cool not to thoroughly test all the functions so I ordered a new smartphone. Our other one would not read the QR code when we attempted to scan it several times and it was constantly telling us that it was low on memory. Our new phone arrived yesterday afternoon and we spent most of the evening trying to get it to work. Frustrated, as we are both pretty tech savvy, I deleted the app and was resigned to not being able to get it to work.
However, not able to just let it go, I put on the band and took the new phone with me when I left this morning to go to the VA Hospital for an appointment. Sitting in the waiting room waiting for Marcus to finish his appointment I started checking out the new phone and saw that the XS90 was listed as a Bluetooth device. So I figured what the heck, let me try to pair it. To my surprise, it immediately paired! So I opened the camera and tried once more to scan the QR code. This time it worked, I clicked the Weblink, and then selected “Google play”. Once there I downloaded the FunDo Pro App again and signed in to the account that we had created during our previous attempts.
This time the app and the tracker synced and we were up and running in just a matter of minutes. While playing with the settings for the app on my phone, I also had my Kindle open and had been chatting with a friend. To my shock, I felt a vibration on both my wrist and in my hand simultaneously. The app was notifying me that a message had come in from her in chat. I have been wearing the tracker all day and this evening we compared the results of the tracker testing with our blood pressure cuff and finger clip-op oxygen sensor. We found that the results for pulse and oxygen saturation were similar to the readings from this tracker. Those for diastolic blood pressure were consistently higher than those achieved with the blood pressure arm cuff that the VA sent Marcus.
We found the app to be quite intuitive and therefore very easy to set up and understand the information that was presented. One feature that I would like to have is a warning before the tracker powers off due to low battery or upon pressing the power button so that you can make sure that your data has been added to your account. I’ve already learned don’t let the battery go down to zero or it will clear all your activity that has not been backed up to your account via the phone. Other than the confusing instructions that came with this device this is the only feature that it doesn’t have that I would like. Overall, we are pleased with this well-rounded high tech tool that helps monitor your activity and health stats.
