Tom and Jerry meet our beloved Charlie Bucket, a young boy who finds one of five golden tickets, hidden inside the wrappers of Wonka chocolate bars. Just like in the Willy Wonka we all remember the lucky few who find a golden ticket are invited to visit Willy Wonka’s world-famous chocolate factory and win a lifetime supply of chocolate.

However, now when Charlie sets out to meet Willy Wonka along with the four other kids who also find golden tickets – Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, and Mike Teevee, Tom and Jerry secretly accompany him – helping Charlie steer clear of trouble and Arthur Slugworth. Of course, there’s no shortage of antics, music, candy, chocolate, fun, nor temptation for the golden ticket winners. The film was executive produced by Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!), written by Gene Grillo (Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz) and produced and directed by Spike Brandt (Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz).

My Thoughts:

When I received my review copy I took it with me to my parents house knowing that my nephew had watched every Tom & Jerry movie and found their antics hilarious. As soon as the previews started he put his iPad down and was laughing even before the opening credits played. This animated movie based on both Tom and Jerry and Jonny Quest with its great animation and artwork is truly entertaining for young and old alike. It had both my nephew and brother-in-law captivated from beginning to end. I must also admit that my sister and I sat there watching it ,too. Leaving Mom to finish cleaning up the lunch dishes. This is a must see for anyone who loves the be entertained.
