I sliced up some cucumbers for snacking. Then, did some onions for grilled chicken and onion sandwiches to test out this mandoline. I found it very easy to use and liked that the food holder was large enough to protect my fingers from the blade and allowed me to get a firm grip on it. The food holder kept all the slices contained and since I didn’t have to chase slices all over the place it made quick work of the food prep and clean up was a breeze. Everything cleaned up easily with some soapy water.

I really liked the five different cutting blades. The shredder was tested on cabbage for making coleslaw. I was thrilled with how well it worked and so fast, too. You can slice/shred just about anything with this mandoline. In years past, I painstakingly sliced all my vegetables with a knife for canning. I am really looking forward to using it to slice up all the cucumbers when I make pickles in a few months. It will make the task much easier and faster.
