Since this is our third 3-D pen, when this pen arrived I took just a few minutes to read the instruction booklet see what this 3-D pen was capable of and to understand the settings. Setup was super easy, plug  it in, insert the filament, select the speed in which you would like the filament to be extruded, and then when the working LED turns on you are ready to start doodling. Press the feed button and see what you can create. This basic pen does not have a stand so when you need to put the pen down you will need to have a safe place to do so. We used a metal spoon rest to do this. The kind that are meant to hold the spoon almost vertical.

I found that this pen is extremely user-friendly with its simple button and slide operation. It also has one very nice feature that we do not have on some of the other pens that we’ve had. This pen has an automatically shuts off after five minutes of inactivity to protect from accidentally leaving it on.
