My Weight Watchers Freestyle Journey Has Begun
+ FREE SmartPoints Calculator
The SmartPoints® system has been incredibly successful in helping Weight Watchers members to eat better while losing weight. Now, this great company has found a way to make the program even simpler and more livable. Their newest program takes the SmartPoints system that its members know and love and bumped it up!
No fads, crash dieting, extreme deprivation, or short-term results. People following the Weight Watchers plan can expect to lose 1 – 2 lbs per week.
What are SmartPoints? SmartPoints are based on calories, sugar, saturated fat, and protein. Fruits and most vegetables are zero-point foods. The nutrients from many fruits and veggies are only factored in if they are mixed with other food.
What is the NEW Weight Watchers Freestyle Program all about? In 2018, Weight Watchers Freestyle was implemented. This system still uses the SmartPoints system and most fruits and vegetables are still zero-point foods. Now included in the over 200 new zero points foods are mostly lean proteins, such as eggs, most kinds seafood, tofu, skinless chicken breast, legumes, and many more. The foods on this list form the foundation of a healthy eating pattern, so you don’t need to weigh, measure, or track any of them. Refer to the Weight Watchers website for a complete list of zero points foods. The new Freestyle system also allows for the rollover of 4 unused SmartPoints per day into a person’s weekly SmartPoints allotment. As a result of these changes, a person’s daily SmartPoints allotment has slightly decreased. Due to the numerous new zero points foods, the new system gives you more flexibility than the previous system. Less counting, more enjoying!
Try out the FREE online SmartPoints Calculator to find your Weight Watchers points for the foods you eat during the day. Knowing the values of the foods you eat will help you make smarter food choices and feel healthier. This online tool can help you stay within your daily and weekly allowance to help you reach your weight loss goals. The below online tool is intended for members following the SmartPoints and Points Plus systems. Just enter the total calories, sugar, saturated fat, and protein to know the SmartPoints.
How to use this tool. Using this calculator is easy. Simply, input the required nutritional information in the calculator above to find out the total Weight Watchers points values for that food item. Use the reset button to clear all fields. You can also just input the next item’s nutrition information. Note: The Smart Points values require all of the above fields. If you don’t have one of these values, the amount will not be correct.
Previous Success! More than fifteen years ago I lost 145 pounds following their program. However, after keeping it off for more than ten years my weight started to creep back up. So thanks to my sister’s encouragement and her gift of paying for my online membership costs, I just started on my second Weight Watchers weight loss journey this Thursday, January 25th. I hope that you will join me on my get healthy journey as I explore all that the Freestyle program has to offer. Better Health Ahead!!!!
