This beautifully animated Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz series goes beyond the initial tale as it follows the wonderful adventures surrounding Dorothy and her friends.

After the Wicked Witch of the West’s defeat, Queen Ozma has appointed Dorothy the Princess of Emerald City. With her feet firmly grounded in her ruby slippers, Dorothy tackles her royal duties with enthusiasm, bravery, and farm girl feistiness. And whether it’s magic, munchkins, flying monkeys, or her arch-nemesis Wilhelmina, the wicked witch-in-training and niece of the Wicked Witch of the West, Dorothy is ready to track down and put a stop to any problem that comes Oz’s way.

You’ll fall in love with Dorothy and her friends all over again, we did, thanks to this Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s release, Emerald City.

With all the rain we’ve had since school let out, this Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz Emerald City DVD arrived just in time. We sat down with the grandchildren one rainy afternoon and popped it in. Lion Catches a Bug was their favorite of all the episodes we watched. Not surprising since the Cowardly Lion is the favorite character of both children. Marcus and I were both pleased once again with the quality of production and content that WBHE delivered with this release. It’s always nice to sit down with the grandchildren and watch positive entertainment with them.
